Join the Centerview Volunteer Fire Department
We meet on the first Sunday of Each Month at 2pm unless it falls on a holiday or holiday weekend then it will be the second Sunday at Centerview Fire Department Station 19-1 unless otherwise posted.
How to Join
Step 1 Contact Chief Dawson at 423-465-2364 or follow the link at the bottom of the page for an application
Step 2 Fill out the application and attend the next meeting to turn it in
Step 3 Introduce yourself to the department at the meeting
Step 4 Over the following month attend and assist the department if anything is going on
Step 5 Attend the next meeting where the department will hold a closed vote about your membership.
If you're voted in it will be on a minimum 1-year probation. During your probationary period you are expected to attend training (if offered), Department held events, Department hosted fundraiser, and Call for service (depending on level of membership and restrictions)
If you're not voted into the department, you do have the opportunity to turn in a new application after a 6-month period
Levels Of Membership
Firefighter
Must Be 18 year old or older
Required Training will be provided at the cost of the department
Must be able to pass a background check , Have a valid drivers license, and pass a drug screening if requested
Description
As a Volunteer Firefighter you respond to 911 calls for service that include but are not limited to Fires, Car Wrecks, Medical Calls. You are also expected to assist the department with fundraisers that are hosted by the department
Support Member
Can be any age
Must be able to pass a background check, and a drug screening if requested
Description
As a Support Member you're expected to assist with events and fundraisers held by the department
Junior Firefighter
Under 18 Year of age
Description
As a Junior Firefighter you can attend training and events and are expected to assist with department fundraisers.
